Jeffrey Canino
Lecturer of English
Bio
Professor Canino teaches a variety of core English literature and First Year Seminar courses at Marist. His courses encourage students to examine the intersections between literary production, history, and theory, with an emphasis on how genre fiction has been used to interrogate the boundaries of social progress. Professor Canino has previously taught English literature and composition at his alma mater, SUNY New Paltz, and served as the Coordinator of Student Academic Persistence in The Writing Center at nearby Dutchess Community College. In addition to his academic pursuits, Professor Canino is also a published author, having written numerous current and forthcoming graphic novels for young readers.
