Jin Lau
Assistant Professor of Economics
Bio
Dr. Jin Lau is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Management, 蜜月直播. He received his PhD in Economics from Rutgers University. Before joining Marist, Dr. Lau had teaching experience in Undergraduate courses such as International Finance, Data Analysis and Modeling, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics, Fixed Income Mathematics, as well as Graduate courses such as Computational Methods for Research in Economics, Macroeconomic Theory II, and invited to teach a Quantitative Methods course for Instituto Tecnol贸gico Aut贸nomo de M茅xico (ITAM) masters students. Apart from teaching, he also worked as a consultant at the World Bank. Drawing from his experience, he seeks to leverage quantitative tools (Excel, Stata, Tableau, Julia, Python) to empower students in conducting data analysis and deriving insights for their professional career development in Economics, Business, and Finance. For research, Dr. Lau specializes in International Finance and International Macroeconomics, utilizing quantitative and theoretical approaches to analyze debt issues in Emerging and Developing Economies.
Outside of classes, he enjoys playing bowling and golf, having represented his country in international bowling tournaments and taking up the role of Team Captain for the Singapore National Schools Bowling Team. With his background, he is committed to helping students effectively balance their extracurricular activities with academic responsibilities.
