Bio

Dr. Holly Franzen-Korzendorfer is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Her career began in Iowa working in geriatric recreational therapy prior to becoming a licensed physical therapist in California where she also focused on specializing in wound management. She has worked as a PT for the Veteran鈥檚 Administration, skilled nursing facilities, acute care hospitals, and in case management at an outpatient hyperbaric wound center, where she conducted her PhD research. Prior to coming to Marist, Holly held executive roles in the durable medical equipment and wound care industries, overseeing education, research, regulatory, and product development functions.

For over 25 years, Dr. Korzendorfer has served as an instructor, guest lecturer, or adjunct faculty at various Physical Therapy Programs or continuing education events across the nation. She is a licensed Physical Therapist in New York and Connecticut and a Certified Wound Specialist庐 credentialed by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM).

Dr. Korzendorfer is actively involved with the Tools Work Group of the Wound Care Collaborative Community (WCCC), the American Physical Therapy Association鈥檚 (APTA) Specialization Academy of Content Experts (SACE) for wound management, and the Academy of Clinical Electrophysiology and Wound Management鈥檚 (ACEWM) Wound Management Residency Task Force. She is a Clinical Editor for Wound Management & Prevention and serves as a content expert and peer-reviewer for conferences and professional journals.
