Copy Right Violation Examples
This page is only to give a few examples of copyright violations in a college setting. Some of these violations people may be carrying out without realizing they are violations. It is by no means meant to be taken as legal advice on copyright policies. The following below are examples of copyright violations. There are also many different ways of violation copyrights that are not listed below but are still illegal.
Some one down the hall asks you to borrow a software CD so they can install the program on their computer.
Using a dual deck tape player to make recordings of tapes or using a cd burner to make copies of cd's.
Downloading MP3 files or movies off the internet. (some files are legite and ok to be shared but many out there are pirated).
