Habitat for Humanity is a service organization whose mission is: “Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.” As a club, we go on local builds in our Dutchess County community. Here we volunteer and assist in building homes for families in various stages. Some examples of the things we have done are sodding, painting, gardening, etc. We also volunteer in our local Habitat for Humanity Re-store, a thrift store at which people can purchase used furniture and other home items. Every year we go on a Collegiate Challenge trip over spring break, where we volunteer with an affiliate in the United States and help build homes. Overall, this is a rewarding and fun club!
Meeting Times/Locations
Habitat for Humanity meets monthly in the Student Center's River Rooms. Meetings begin at 9:15 pm and all meetings and locations will be sent via email and posted on our Instagram account.
